The Bayelsa State Government has relaxed the curfew it imposed tò check the Covid 19 pandemic.
A statement issued by the Commissioner for information, Orientation and Strategy, Mr Ayiba Duba said the curfew will now be from 11 pm to 6 am .
The statement reads “the public is hereby notified that the dusk to dawn curfew imposed by the Bayelsa State Government on the 16th of May, 2021 has been relaxed.
“Henceforth the curfew commences from 11pm to 6am within Yenagoa and other communities across the state.
‘However, curfew at the major entry points including; Bayelsa/Delta States’ boundary at Adagbabiri, GloryLand Drive at Igbogene and Bayelsa/Rivers States’ boundary at Mbiama starts from 8pm.
“This relaxation takes effect from Wednesday 16th June, 2021 and shall be in force until further notice.
“All relevant security agencies are to enforce accordingly.”
The statement urged commuters and members of the public to take note of the relaxed curfew.
