Just yesterday being Tuesday 15th June, 2021, Chief Timipre Sylva; the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources superintended over the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Nigerian Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG) Train 7 at Bonny Island in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Before the event proper, Sylva who arrived Bonny Island the previous day, used the opportunity to familiarize with the natives who are not just the host, but co-owners and critical stakeholders in the massive multi-dollar Investment.
Sylva was cheered by the locals when he got into a local canoe with Mr. Mele Kyari; the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and paddled around the riverine environment.
The above action is very significant and symbolic. Sylva was sending a direct very loud, clear and reassuring message to the people that they all critical stakeholders in the project and investment that will turn around their fortunes.
It is a known fact that Chief Timipre Sylva is one outstanding Bayelsan and Niger Deltan that speaks and also understands the language of the ordinary people on the streets of our towns and villages. He is unique and very distinguished because he does not only sympathize with the masses, rather he empathizes with them by putting himself in their shoes and conditions and also take proactive steps to alleviate their sufferings and plights.
On the other hand, the fervent prayers of the beneficiaries have continued to serve as sources of strength, guidance, guardian, protection and even promotion which is the reason why Sylva grows higher whenever he is antagonized.
But beyond the above, the NLNG Train 7 project will have an overwhelming positive impacts on our great people because of the Thousands of Employments it will create and the Massive Empowerments. Hundreds if not Thousands of Ijaw people who shall participate in the project as Contractors shall transform into new Millionaires, Multimillionaires, some will beome Billionaires.
So, in concluding this piece, I urge our great people to position strategically so that they can get the necessary adequate benefits. We should also continue to support our ever performing Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and other public office holders with our fervent prayers.
