Bayelsa State Police  Command Following a tip-off  said SWAT Operatives of the command stormed a criminal hideout at Ebisam Road, Yenagoa, on 6th July 2021 at about 1700hours and arrested four suspected armed robbery gang members, who were planning an operation.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer  (PPRO) Bayelsa State Command , Asinim Butswat  said the  suspects namely; Prefateyah Francis ‘m’ 30 yrs, Job Molo Edward ‘m’ 41 yrs, Barine Nwinee ‘m’ 41 yrs and  Edho Kingsley ‘m’ 44 yrs, were caught while planning to launch an attack at an unknown location. A Barretta pistol was recovered from Prefateyah Francis, adding that ” they have volunteered useful information, the suspects will be charged to court at the conclusion of Investigation.”

He  further noted that the “Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command  CP Mike Okoli fsi,  calls for continued support from members of the public to enable Police succeed in the arduous task of fighting crime.”
