Award winning Bayelsa State Commander, Nigeria Hunter Council, Hunter Felix George was penultimate week in Abuja presented with the Icon of Excellent Award as the fastest growing Command by the Nigeria Hunter Council.
This award is coming on the heels of similar awards bagged by the Bayelsa State Commander, which include, Hunter Counci of Nigeria “Icon of Peace Award”, South-South Zone, Black Image Magazine “Service Award” and the Teachers Without Borders ” Distinguished International Public Service Award”.
The award was presented to Hunter George at a 2- days workshop on leadership for state executives of the Nigeria Hunter Council with the theme: ” Organizational Management and Leadership Skills” organised by the Nigeria Hunter Council in collaboration with the JOSH Institute of Corporate Safety and Conservation in Abuja.
Presenting the award, the Commander General, Nigeria Hunter Council, Amb. Osatimehin Joshua said the award is presented to the Bayelsa State Command as the fastest growing state command and in recognition of the support, promotion and continued contribution towards national security and the Hunter Council.
Amb. Joshua said with the complexity of the security challenge the country is currently grappling, securing the nation is a task that must not be left in the hands of the conventional security outfits alone but one that deserves the use of the community policing strategy to address comtemprary security threats.
He called for the more investment in security especially in areas of logistics and intelligent gathering, emphasizing the determination of the officers and men under his command in complementing other security agencies to fight criminality across the nation.
The award recipient, Hunter George thanked the Nigeria Hunter Council for the honour as this goes to show that the security outfit takes the contribution of officers and men seriously.
He expressed gratitude to God and dedicate the award to the gallant officers and men under his command for their support.
