After nine years since the death of their late King, His Royal Majesty Raph Iwowari, the people of Opu-Nembe Kingdom will this Saturday 29th get a new King.
The screening council we learnt opted to clear all contestants to avert crisis.
It was learnt that some persons were bent on stopping one of the candidates for what they considered age variant which falls against the guidelines placed by the screening council.
A source who was privy to the screening told our reporter at Bassambri in Nembe Local Government Area that ”the screening was not done because the house became rowdy and conducting the screening would have caused some disruption. So the Council decided to give a fiat clearance for all contestants. Even though it was suspected the admiral did not sign his own nomination form. The voting is for Saturday 29 May 2021”.
