Presidential Visitation Panel promises more FG’s   attention  for FUO

A visitation panel instituted by the Federal Government  has visited  the Federal University Otuoke  in Ogbia Local government Area.

 

The  team  paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor Prof. Charles Adias and other principal staff  of the institution on the 28th  of April 2021.

 

The four- man delegation which was led by Prof. (Mrs.) Immaculate Nwokoro. Prof. of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Calabar (UNICAL)  said the panel was  instituted by the presidency , adding that the panel is saddled with a 60- day mandate to conduct a review of the FUO University system in all aspects and report back to  government .

 

While soliciting support of  the staff, students and the host community, She assured them that the visit is not a punitive one but to improve on the educational system for effective service delivery .

 

The VC Prof. Teddy Charles Adias in his response commended the Federal Government for choosing  FUO for the visitation, and promise to cooperate with the panel.

The panel had  earlier visited the Governor of Bayelsa State Senator Douye Diri, the former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the Paramount Ruler of Otuoke, King Ariwareni Paul Engoye, Obanema of Otuoke,  The Director of the  DSS and  the Commissioner of Police. They have also had interaction with HODs and Directors in the University. The visitation continues
